From London With Love
‘From London with Love’ is about Jessica Granger, daughter of Edward Granger who once played the part of James Bond back in the 80’s, and Angelica Dupree, arguably the sexiest Bond girl of all time, Heavenly Melons. Growing up she has had a pampered existence and yet things haven’t always necessarily been easy. Her mother left when she was a small child and their relationship has never really recovered.
Desperate to be someone in her own right and to escape the shadow of her parents’ fame, Jessica flees for London, seeking independence in a city where nobody knows her name. But when she finds a job as a celebrity booker on a chat show she realises the more friends she makes, the harder it is to keep up the lies about who she is. And when Jessica falls for Paul, a writer on the show, her life as a double agent causes double trouble.
With the truth of her past about to explode into her new world, can Jessica convince Paul she’s the real deal? Or maybe a sprinkling of the old 007 magic will spice up her love life?
‘From London with Love’ is out now and because I loved writing this book so much, I am really looking forward to people reading it. So far it has also been sold to Germany and Holland.
I spoke to Penny Smith on the Radio 2 Arts Show about the book. In case you’d like to listen, here it is. Enjoy!

Praise for From London with Love
Closer Magazine - ‘This is a brilliantly funny and thoroughly enjoyable read.’
Lisa Snowdon – Presenter on the Capital FM breakfast show ‘I couldn’t put it down. A laugh out loud read. When can I read more?’
Chick Lit reviews – ‘This was a fantastic read, and has certainly put Jemma Forte on my radar as an author to look out for more in the future, without a doubt! It’s a very funny and easy read which kept me turning the pages minute after minute as I wanted to find out whether Jessica would be found out, and whether she could heal the rift between her warring parents too. There’s a lot going on, there’s a lot of laughs, but it is just such a fun read, the pages whizz by in a flash and before you know it, you’re at the end and wishing there was more! I really hope the book is a success – it makes for perfect beach reading, and I wish I had another holiday to go on so I could read it again!’
One More Page – ‘Every so often a book comes along that surprises me and this summer it’s From London With Love by Jemma Forte. I literally could not put this book down once I’d started reading and even though it’s a big read at almost 500 pages, I didn’t want it to end and could happily have carried on reading about Jessica, her family and friends all day! Jemma’s writing style is witty and fresh and she gets the balance just right between lighthearted humour and more serious issues which the book doesn’t shy away from. I laughed out loud or smiled to myself so many times whilst reading and for me that’s the mark of a brilliant read. From London with Love has a great message about not judging a book by its over and being who you really are. Coupled with the Bond theme throughout, this is a fun summer read with more than a touch of A-list glamour. 5/5
